I helped redesign and refresh the user interface, creating an app that is more engaging, modern, playful and accessible. I established a new design system, that we could then roll-out to the rest of the app over time.

One of the key projects I worked on at Paltalk was a design overhaul of the ‘Discover’ screen. At its core, Paltalk is chatroom app; which is why ‘room discoverability’ is so crucial. The UI of the chatroom tiles was refreshed – improving hierarchy, accessibility and scalability. The tiles needed to be cleaned up, but also more information needed to be added- this created a design challenge due to the conflicting requirements. 

When redesigning a super complex and important feature like Messages, I took a super collaborative approach. I involved engineers and leadership at every turn; making sure everything we produced was technically viable but also represented the direction we were headed.
